Been reading lots of posts, but no mention if you can safely walk across bridges other than Charles. We enjoy walking and are staying in Mala strana for 4 nights end of June, so we are interested in alternate walks to sights. Since I never read any post mentioning walking across other bridges I%26#39;ve been thinking maybe it is not possible, or not safe? Any info would be appreciated.

I think the only reason charles bridge is mentioned all the time is that it is a tourist trap and the main way people seem to walk from mala strana to old town etc.
Yuo can walk over other bridges which i have done a number of times, in fact the manesuv bridge which is the next one down from charles bridge is good to get to the castle if you want to walk up there.

All other bridges have sidewalks just like any other road in Prague. Charles Bridge is fully pedestrianised and is the most direct route from the old town square to Mala Strana. You can of course walk over the Manesuv bridge that links the Rudolfinium with the Malostranska entrance to the castle
