Review

Hey everyone, ok hears a small little review of things to watch out for, things to do ect.

There were 7 of us so this review may relate to stag doo%26#39;s ect slightly better.

Day 1 - Arrived at BV Wenceslas square apartments, they were very clean and had 24 hour security and friendly staff, and in general we were very impressed with these. We took the short trip down to tesco%26#39;s to buy a few essentials; this place is hell and is packed with customers throughout the day.

We had a bite to eat at a very nice local restaurant a few streets away from Wenceslas square. We later sampled some of the local bar%26#39;s and pubs (try to stay away from the main tourist traps when your after bars as they are unbelievably expensive) after the bars we went to Duplex, great club but expect to pay for it, drinks were around 120kc and entry was 300kc. for women it was free.

After this club we took a short walk across the square and went into one of thel strip clubs along there. Entry was 100kc but beer was expensive, this was a great place for a quick drink but the women are clever and will try to get the most out of you (private dance ect) DO NOT BE FOOLED.

Day 2 - During the day we decided to walk as much of the city as possible, we walked as far out as possible and you really get a chance to see Prague this way, if you would rather get the trams they are both easy to use and efficient. We arrived back at the apartments and got ready to go out. We found a very nice Indian restaurant just off Wenceslas square which was cheap and offered great food, and then we decided to head further out and found a few great bars with some interested characters. We ended up in Karlovy Lazne, cheap to get in and cheap inside, slightly dirty but still a good laugh and can cater for all.

On the way back you will get hustled by men trying to get you into their strip clubs, either say NO or don’t say anything at all (the latter seems to work best) these men are friendly and are not after a fight so don’t get into one!

Day 3 - During the day we went to Charles bridge and Prague castle, it snowed this day and it really does make things look so beautiful. If you walk up the tower at the entrance to Charles bridge then you will get a great view of everything. Prague castle is also a must, even for stag doo%26#39;s.

At night we decided to go back to duplex as we liked it there. Again it was a good night, on way back got asked by numerous drug dealers if we were interested in %26quot;Charlie%26quot; %26quot;hash%26quot; JUST SAY NO! or as we said %26quot;sorry we do not know a Charlie or hash%26quot;

Prostitutes are lined along Wenceslas square and will offer you many things, just say no thanks! If you do pay for it as one of our group did just hide what you have in your apartment as they seem to be more interested in your money, valuables ect.

All in all a great trip and i seem to of fallen in love with Prague. As long as you are careful with where you put your wallet ect then you won’t have any problems in terms of pickpockets and yes it was cold but it was bearable and generally not that bad.

P.S. Thanks for everyone’s help on here; you made it a trip i will never forget.

Nice to see you sampled the local culture. How about going to the Rudolfinium or Obecni Dum next time? They are great places for a night out.

Thanks for the review especially on the apartments as when we were in Prague in January I booked them for a little break in December.
