We would like to visit the U Posty Pub when we visit in March. We will be staying in the Union Hotel. How long would it take to walk to the Pub ? Which end of Moravska is it at. Which is the nearest Metro Station? Which Trams travel close to it.

Quite a long way from the Union. It%26#39;s at the corner of Moravska and Budecska street.
Easiest way to get to from the Hotel Union is to catch number 18 or 24 trams from the Hotel Union to Karlovo namesti (the second Karlovo Namesti tram stop). Cross over the tramline. Catch number 22 or 23 tram up the hill and get off at the stop after Namesti Miru which is called Jana Masaryka. Cross the road into Budecska and walk down the left hand side of the raod until you get there.
It%26#39;s a real neighbourhood Czech pub (no tourists apart from the occasional one%26#39;s walking down the street from the Hotel Anna), serves food as well, and even has a menu in English now.

Many thanks for your replies which are very useful, can you have a guess how long it would take to walk to U Posty from Union as we are both keen walkers?
|||
35 to 40 minutes. It%26#39;s steep uphill on the way and the streets are not the most picturesque in Prague, so I would save your energy for walking around the better parts of the city.
if you%26#39;re desperate to walk, turn left out of the union, walk down Jaromirova under the Nusle bridge to see the people jump off. When you get to the railway bridge, take the road in front of you (Fricova - don%26#39;t follow the road round to the right). Walk up the hill to the end of Fricova. Cross over Belehradska (tramline runs down it) into Pod Nuselskym. Walk up the 1 in 4 gradient to the end of the street at then walk up the steps (when the gradient becomes too tough for cars). Turn right into Jana Masaryka, walk to the end of Jana Masaryka until you come to Francouska (where the Jana Masaryka tram station is). Cross over the road and you are into Budecska

Thanks again for your reply, it sounds like a tough walk, I think I%26#39;ll take the Tram as you suggested originally
