July Visit- Need Air conditioning ?

We are arrving July 14th on overnight train from Munich. When is the soonest I can buy that overnight ticket ? Then we would like an overnight train to frankfurt ? ANyone heard of Euraide that sells tickets ?

Also not many of the hotels offer air conditioning in their rooms--

Is it really necessary ? If so which hotel do you reccomend for location and air ?

We are trying to stay around 100.00 dollars per night please.

Train tickets are cheaper when bought in europe than in the US.

instead of taking the overnight train from Munich that takes 9 hours (on a journey a bus can do in half the time), you might want to fly. Condor, a low cost airline starts to fly Munich to Prague on july 1st and it would be likely that they should have some opening offers, probably at little more than the cost of the train ticket and it would only take you one hour to travel the distance it takes the train 9.

Overnight train tickets to Frankfurt can be bought at the international train ticket office at Prague central station, but you are best to go and buy these on the first day you arrive in Prague, just to be sure.

Prague is generally in the mid 20 degrees celsius in July. Unless it really gets above 30 degrees, you don%26#39;t need air conditioning, as the humidity is low and the air is dry. Most of the hotels are in thick stone buildings that are cool inside and as long as you are not in the top floor or in the roof, opening the window brings enough coolness to sleep. The four star hotels plus generally all have air conditioning, but it is doubtful that their prices will be unable to come down to your 100 dollars per night budget.
