cost!

Hi!

Just wondered what people would think was a decent/expensive/cheap price for a trip to prague.

That is four nights accommodation, three/four days there and flights out there?

Cheers

1. depends where you%26#39;re flying from

2. depends on if you want to stay within walking ditance or you don%26#39;t mind walking/ using public transport (which is excellent in Prague)

3. Depends if you to stay five star or clean but basic.

4. Depends if you%26#39;re looking to fly mid week or weekend fron UK.

5. Depends how far in advance you%26#39;re wiling to book.

I can probably do 2 nights for approx £150 per person with lots of planning, but for New Year I%26#39;m spending £360 per person for 3 nights but staying in top class hotel. Hotels in Prague are not cheap generally unless you go off season, please bear in mind it is a capital city (you%26#39;d probably also struggle to find decent cheap accomodation in London). I generally start on expedia and then attempt to beat it from there.

Cheers for the reply

We%26#39;ve managed to get 4 nights, which is 3 full days there including flights and accommodation at a quote of £155 each?

What do you reckon?

|||

seems like a good deal, similar to Sarah, last new years eve we spent nearly £400 including the new years eve dinner and the new years day concert in the rudolfinum

dave, but the december before it cost us £200 from cardiff staying in thefour star kampa,

that seems a good deal jenny,but check where your hotel is,as it could be outside the main city centre.

I go to Prague on friday,got 7 nights in the 3* Three Crowns hotel in Zichov including breakfast plus flights for £216 flying direct from Edinburgh.

Hi

We%26#39;ve got three nights at the Kampa Garden Hotel in the centre of Prague, right next to the Charles Bridge and flights for about £150 each. The flights though give us 4 full days, we leave the UK early on the Friday morning and go home Monday evening.

Check where your hotel is before you make this reservation and check out what the cost is of doing it separately.

And whatever you do don%26#39;t pay for your hotel until you are about to check out. Anyone who tries to take money up front is a scoundrel, at least in my book they are.

Which hotel are you thinking about?

Thinking of youth hostel, dead nice jacuzzi etc. Breakfast included and unlike a lot of others it has double rooms.

I%26#39;m going with my boyfriend and due to him living down south and me up north the price also includes return travel for him up north!

|||

Good price but sounds like a fancy youth hostel. Which one is it?

|||

Extol Inn Youth Hostel - just google it or hihostels.com

the other one available the dates we want is travellers hostel but this is more expensive, slightly.

both are hosteling international hostels

|||

Extol looks nice but its in Holesovice, reasonable distance away from centre you will be using public transport which is excellent in Prague (probably 10-15 mins. If the travellers hostel is the one on Dlouha thats much better located in my opinion, very central. I personally would pay more for it.

We are going for 3 nights ( 4 days )beginning of April for £180 each with Czech airline flights from Edinburgh, staying at the Tulip Inn - a great bargain! Last time cost £330 each as flights were more expensive %26amp; we stayed at the Bellagio in their suite.
