Hospital payments

Do you in this day and age have to pay for hospital treatment in Prague. My son was beaten and robbed on Sunday night and taken to the hospital by the police. He had to pay nearly £100 to check out of the hospital the following morning.

Unless you have a European Health Insurance card (which is highly recommended for anyone travelling outside of the UK) or are covered by private health insurance, you need to pay for medical treatment. Would be the same in england if you were a foreigner wanting hospital treatment.

If he has receipts, it may be possible to claim the cost against travel insurance
