hotel suggestions- Ventana et al

I am looking for hotel suggestions, comments. I had liked the Pachtuv Palace as it looked like a well located, unique hotel but I found out it does not have air conditioning for its smaller rooms and I am going in July. I am looking now at the Ventana which seems great as well. Also I am considering the Rott, Grand Bohemia and Ambassador. Any suggestions would be recommended. Also any suggestions as to good booking agencies (for flight and hotel) are welcome. Thank you.w

If you like the Pachtuv Palace because of what you have seen, don%26#39;t change it just because it doesn%26#39;t have air conditioning.

In Prague the air is dry, so it does not have the humidity of New York. In addition, Pachtuv Palace is in an 100 year old plus building with thick walls and so unless the temperature gets towards 30 degrees, even if it is warm outside, inside in these old buildings it is cool. If you don%26#39;t have a room in the roof and you are in a quiet location, opening the window is good enough to get air into the room and to sleep. Everyone lives in the centre lives in these old buildings and very few people have air conditioning

Pachtuv is a real beauty, dont expect a Grand hotel and service can be a little off. July can be hot, though.

Ventana is great, ask for a room on a higher floor, as it is located in the pedestrian area next to the Old Town Square, where drunk tourists walk around singing (This is first hand experience, I lived in the house before it was turned into a hotel).

Grand Bohemia is very nice, super location. On the 7th floor you get a supperb view, best rooms are 705, 707.

Ambassador I would not recommend.

The Grand Praha is supposed to be nice on the Old Town Square, Sarah was there and recommends it.
