Hello BigBadJohn,Is that Hastingwood near Harlow?We spent just an afternoon in Brno itself,one thing to point out straight away is that it is nothing like Prague.It seemed to be very industrial,more like our northern cities.However,the centre was bustling with people shopping etc.We found things more Eastern european orientated(compared to Prague)and felt pretty isolated.I don%26#39;t know what sort of job you are going to do in Brno,but if it%26#39;s anything to do with bars/nightlife etc you should have a good time.One town I would have a look at is Kromeritz,about 25 miles east of Brno.A more compact,friendly place.We stayed at Buchlovpark hotel in the grounds of Buchlov castle,on the road to Uherske Hradiste.If you want something special for your new years eve party,stay the night you won%26#39;t be disappointed.Sorry I can%26#39;t give you too much info on Brno.
