We are going to Prague in late March and would like recommendations for a private guide and a hotel. We would like a Hotel that is close to all sites. I would like a 4-5 star hotel that has the feeling of old Prague, not a new modern US style hotel. Thanks.

Palace, Pariz, Savoy or Grand Hotel Bohemia give you the taste of old Prague, but in the reviews section of this site, you will see that some people have commented that the decor and service is of old prague as well. Maximilian, Pachtuv Palace and Josef give the new Prague; touch of the old with up to date service.

While I have not used her I have read good things about Sarka Pelantova, her website is www.prague-guide.info I have emailed her and she has been pleasant and very helpful.

Try The Charles or The Certovka Hotel, both in Mala Strana for charm and location.
