wheelchair access in Prague

We are ginig to Prague in March, and one of our party of 12 has had a leg operation and may need to use a wheelchair for some of the 4 day trip. He will be able to get out of it and walk, its only if he gets too tired to walk all of the time.

Does anybody have any experience of using a wheelchair in Prague?

Thanks

Prague with its cooblestones is not really whell chair friendly, but if he is able to walk a bit, there is no problem.

pgtips. Where are you staying? As Martina says, Prague is not very wheelchair friendly, and that goes for many of the cheaper hotels who have steps from the front door to the lift and from the lifts to the bedrooms. Trams are generally not access free and metro are only wheelchair friendly in certain stations. However the old town side is pretty flat and subject to the cobbles can be seen relatively easy
