Where to dance in Prague?

Going to prague this weekend and looking for two good clubs for fri and sat nights

Ideally like somewhere that plays Funky House (dislike R%26#39;n%26#39;B and hiphop)

You could try either club lavka on charles bridge or the roxy on dlouha street not far from old town square.

Try also Karlove Lazne next door to Lavka by the Charles Bridge, Celnice on V Celnici near the Marriott, La Fabrique on Uhelny Trh near the foot of Wenceslas Square or Radost on Beelehradska near Namesti Miru metro station

What about club Mecca? is that any good?

Mecca is good and swish as a club. Just a little way out in Holesovice, which is not the most salubrious or connectable part of town to be in in the early hours of the morning.

but I could get a taxi back into the centre? would it be expensive?

You can get night tram 54 to the centre from down the street; they go intermittently throughout the night. Taxis outside nightclubs are not recommended unless you want to be seriously ripped off. AAA radio taxis run through the night (telephone 14014) and are the most reliable

how much would a taxi outside the club to Charles bridge cost?

in the early hours of the morning, could be anything from 300 crowns to 2000 crowns, depending on how bent the taxi driver was and how frightened he felt you were
