My mother and I will be visiting Prague in late May. From reading various reviews on this site the Mala Strana area seems ideal.As my mother is in her mid seventies we are wanting a hotel which is not situated on a steep hill.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Try the Aria. It is on a quiet street and not too far up the hill. You can walk five minutes to Malaostranske namesti and catch the 22 and 23 tram from there up the hill to the castle
