hope to stay over xmas and newyear would like hotel near old town square,have been told metamorphis hotel, bw kampa,charles or uprincehotels are really good have read previous reviews cant make my mind up
please help

I personally wouldn%26#39;t stay at U Prince based on the reviews on here, I have eaten and had drinks on the roof terrace and the waiters can be a little abrupt, but the view is fabulous.
If you want to stay on Old Town Square I%26#39;d chose Grand Hotel Praha, have a look at it on www.athos.cz. I spent my wedding night there with a view of the astronomical clock its absolutely beautiful and the staff are fantastic. I%26#39;m staying at The Riverside for New Year, further out than you wanted but does look beautiful and its got fantastic reviews.

Metamorphis is a small appartment hotel with a perfect location same as the Grand Praha.
U Prince does have difficculties with the service, also it is packed with tourists.

We are in Prague for Christmas 2006 and have booked the Hotel Josef....looks fantastic, and all the reviews i have read have been really good.

We too have booked the Hotel Joseph mid December.Checked it out when we were there in January and were very impressed.

choose one with a restaurant attached and is open over christmas, as many restaurants shut over the christmas period
