travelling to prague on monday staying at st george . has anyone any comments on this hotel? also tickets on trams , do you have to stamp your ticket every trip you take? been reading about the pickpocket situation, scaring the life out of me , and i%26#39;m from south armagh!!!!!

look at the reviews section on this site - 13 reviews of the st george, mostly good.
With tram tickets you stamp them when you firsty use them, so if you have a multiple tram ticket you stamp it once when you get on your first, tram, bus or metro.
Pickpockets are an issue, but if you take precautions, you should be ok. The people who do it a petty pickpockets; muggings for money are extremely rare, and of the large number of tourists that visit Prague, thankfully only a small proportion have bad experiences with pickpockets

We stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and could not fault it ,its a bit of a walk into town 15 mins approx which we did each day but I must admit we got a taxi back .I go with my mum each year and we have never had any trouble with pickpockets just use your common sense and you will be fine and if it makes you feel any better the hotel is virtually next door to a big police station.
