Nice accommodation for myself and Partner near old town...

Can anyone help.

I%26#39;m running the prague marathon in may (14) and going for a long weekend. The marathon starts from the old town square so ideally want to stay somewhere on or around the squre so that I don%26#39;t have to think about public transport on the the morning of the race. I have never been before. I will be going for a long weekend with my partner so although I am going to race I would like to stay somewhere special although not too expensive. We were thinking of somewhere with a spa although I would think it probably unlikely so central.. I don%26#39;t know.

Does anyone have any ideas.

A basic second choice just in case we decide to keep things simple for our stay would also be useful

Nice spa and treatments you will find in Hotel Hoffmeister, www.hoffmeister.cz. Might be too expensive. Otherwise we do not have Spa Hotels in Prague.

Hotel Axa has a big pool (and good location), but is def. nothing special. Service tends to lack...

Intercontintal just down the street from the old town square has a health club with a swimming pool and jacuzzi where you can rest your tired limbs. So does the Marriott, about 10 minutes walk from the old town square
