Prague to Cesky Krumlov to Salzburg

Greetings - we plan on staying in Prague and then travelling from Prague to Salzburg (2nd week of April %26#39;06). We also have a day trip planned to Cesky Krumlov while in Prague. Does it make sense to stay in CK overnight and then proceed to Salzburg from there instead of going back to Prague? What would be the fastest way to get to Salzburg from Prague?

Would appreciate any help on this topic.

We are going to Prague in July. We will stay in Prague for 3 nights and then travel to Cesky Krumlov for 2 nights. We then plan on taking a mid-day bus from Cesky Krumlov to the Linz train station. From there we will travel to Salzburg by train. Hope it all works out well.

well worth staying in Cesky Krumlov for the night as it takes 3.5 hours from Prague - once the day trippers have gone home, Cesky Krumlov in the evening is magical. You need to go back to Ceske Budejoivce by train or bus then to catch the train to Linz (and probably to change there to Salzburg), but the tourist offcie at Cesky Krumlov does a morning minibus shuttle direct to Linz, which may be the easiest connection to make
