What are the best options to get there from Prague

Want to sample some great beers from the home of lager.

Very easy to get there from Prague.I was there a couple of weeks ago,see my thread %26quot;unclegus%26#39;s trip to Prague%26quot;.

trains run very frequently and direct ones are every hour,buses are also very frequent and are quicker than the train (mountains).

I went by train to Plzen and it takes about 90 minutes.When you get out of the train station turn right and it is an 8-10 minute walk to the brewery,there are some signs to indicate the way.Btw there is an excellent gift shop in the brewery and also the resturant Na Spilce which is also very good.

If you look at my avatar it is a picture of me being poured a beer from one of the huge barrels in the cellars of the brewery.It is an unforgettable experience.

There are also several nice places for a drink in Plzen and there is a very fine Brewing museum also.I didn%26#39;t see it this trip but had been there a few years ago
