I think there are several places to eat near the Andels hotel, though it has been a couple of years since I have been in that area. It is only a short tram ride into the city centre,so I think you will have plenty of time to find a place to eat.
As to Plzen.I was there a couple of weeks ago.www.idos.cz will give you info on transportation .I used the train ,direct one leave the main train staion every hour at 15 minutes past the hour and take approx 90 minutes to get there.Turn right as you get out of the station and it is about a 8-10 minute walk to the Plzen brewery( there are signs to direct you).We had a tour at 12.30 then lunch in the Na Spilce resturant afterwards, see my thread %26quot;unclegus%26#39;s trip to Prague%26quot;.
www.prazdroj.cz will give you info on the brewery tour.

there is a great pilsner restaurant called Olympia on Vitezna street about 15 minutes walk from Andels where they bring the pilsner in by tanker. next door to Olympia is another good restaurant called Cafe Savoy.
Nearer the hotel La Cambusa on Klicperova street is also good.
all Plzen bound trains stop at Smichovske nadrazi (leave 22 minutes past the hour) which is one metro station on the yellow line from Andels and therefore easier to get to than the central station.
At Andels you will need to use the tram to get to the city centre and the castle district. It is worth buying a 3 day tram and metro pass for 220 crowns or a 7 day tram and metro pass for 280 crowns. You can buy these at the Prague Transport Authority offices in the arrivals hall on the right when you have come through customs
