Hi there

We are going in April, and I have scouring websites.

If you read this you may find it useful. It only gives details to heotel mira, but as it is only another 10mins by tram i am sure they would find the centre from there

taxis are apparently dear, but they can get a transport card for a few quid which wil last them all week.

Hope it%26#39;s ok to post this link

just scroll down and it gives some info on public transport

hiya,

thankyou very much for your reply,i%26#39;ve checked out the link you said about,helpfull!.hope you have a great time when you visit prague.fingers crossed things will go ok :-s.

|||

Thank you. Same to your family.

They may want to purchase a prague card also. I have just had a swift e mail back from the PC office. For a 7 day card including transport it is 33 euros. This gets you into all the museums, a boat ride, a map and posters or something.

hiya, oh thats great i%26#39;ll txt my son that info,just to let you know I rang the hotel from uk in the end to see if there hotel did transfers,they will be picked them both up via a taxi/there own car from the airport at the cost of 690 approx £13,this is for one way mind.i%26#39;m sure you still could get cheaper but for there 1st time away %26amp; my peace of mind its worth it,not sure if that info /pricing is of any help to you,as im not sure how far away you will be from where they are staying.

Thanks again.

oh my god, i have just read that reply i left back %26amp; it makes no sense :-s,you should be able to make out what i mean.SORRY!its been a long time with no day off from work.

|||

lol, I understand! I felt horrified when I read mine. It is full of typing errors!

I have ordered a prague card for each of us via the prague card website. For the 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children, 104 Euros ( around £73) It will be waiting on our arrival

Using this we can get the trams to the hotel, then get around all week and back to the airport on the last day, plus get in all the museums free, so we will definitely be doing that!

Ask your son to let us know the cheapest places for decent food, and drinks when he gets back;) lol

hi, we have just returned from prague and i would advise anyone to get a taxi to and from the airport,if you use the public transport system you%26#39;re going to be very vunerable to pickpockets given that you have luggage and are not sure of your bearings. we used %26quot;prague airport shuttle%26quot; the drivers were punctual,spoke perfect english and very pleasant. they operate a fixed rate charge of 650k[approx £15]to the central area and the taxis are bookable in advance.do a search for them on this forum and i%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find the link.please see the posts on pickpockets this is a very real threat.the taxi fares is money well spent.

hiya,thankyou for your reply,think i%26#39;ll txt my son to say to be carefull re pick-pockets.he has rang me to say he had been ask if he had spare change on him,after he replyed no,the man followed them for awhile untill they went into a cafe.so hes got his eyes open .hope you enjoyed your stay.
