We are going to Prague at the end of the month for 4 days could anyone suggest/recommend typical restaurants; cafes and bars not be missed.

Thank you

www.classiccitybrew/prague will give a list of beerhalls and pubs in the main city, some are very good and have reasonable prices for food, they will give you an idea of a traditional prague beerhall, though some are very tourist orientated (not always a bad thing),some have entertainment in the evening as well.

Not to be missed:

Cafe:

Kafe Slavia,

Narodni 1, Prague 1

Beerhall:

U Fleku,

U Medvidku, Na Perstyne

Czech restaurants:

U Pinkasu, Jungmannova Namesti, not far from vaclav square (also a good pub)

Kolkovna, V Kolkovne

Olympia, Vitezna

Pubs:

U Zlathe Tygra (The golden Tiger), Husova. Open 15.00-11.00

U Hrocha ( The Hippo), Thunovska. Open 12.00

U Cervenho Vola(The balck ox), Loretanska Open 10.00

Enjoy your stay!

But only go to Kafe Slavia if you want REALLY bad, surly service and abuse from the staff when you don%26#39;t leave a tip big enough (in their opinion)

Agree with SiriusB. Cafe Slavia has great views, but the service is back in the communist era, and it is so smoky.

Ebel in the Tyn courtyard behind the Tyn Church is an excellent cafe for a cold day

Thank you all for your feedback
