Can you tell me if there are atms in the centre of Prague. Do restaurants take visa/mastercard?

Yes to both, no problem. If you get money out of the wall, make sure there are no pickpockets close by that grab your money and run. Just be aware of pickpockets and you will be fine.

no less or more of a problem than in Bolton - take the same precuations you would there

ATM%26#39;s are the way to go - better exchange rates then shops by far. Be sure in restaurants - almost all fancier one%26#39;s tak credit cards - but most Czech one%26#39;s don%26#39;t.
