i am going on a hen weekend in prague very soon with 10 friends and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good place to eat and a good club on a saturdaty night. We are in our late 20%26#39;s and just want to go somewhere with a nice atmosphere, if you have any suggestions would be great x p.s. do we need to book a table in advance?

A good club for dancing is Radost FX. Also, it has a funky cafe at street level - though it can be crowded. I think you could book a table, but not sure- they have decent vegtarian food, quesadillas, Indian stuff etc.
One of the best and modern restaurants in the city, in my opinion, and pretty cheap by UK standards is Kogo at Slovansky Dum. Near Obecni Dum and Wenceslas Square. Italian mediterranean. Try to risotto con roba di mare Adriatico, the gnocchi ai funghi porcini, or the lobster pasta (These dishes are around 10-12 pounds sterling). You should book for anywhere for a table that big.
It is not Czech but it is GOOD.

I am glad I am not the only one recommending Kogo! You need to book a table in advance with a party of 10. The oldest club would be Lavka, next to the Charles Bridge. Next door is a huge club, over three floors, I personally do not like it, but it is there, maybe you are lucky and hit a night with a good crowd.
Check the program of Lucerna Bar - they to life music, its run down, but special. All my visitors come there with me and like it. It is off Wenceslas Square. www.mu=sicbar.cz - the page is in Czech, but you can read the program.
Nice bars: Tretters, Ocean Drive, Bugsy%26#39;s

Try Zlate Casy on Vladislovova near to the Lazarska tram stop. Its a fairly small club down in a basement, but a good mix of music and a small dancefloor. Open until 4am and no entrance fee. Reasonable priced drinks and the food is good and plentiful. If you want a table, you%26#39;ll need to book for 10 people, otherwise hangout at the bar.

thanks guys, i have sent an email to book at kogo on sunday....on the saturday we were looking for somewhere to have a late lunch....and then a light dinner before we go out for the night....any ideas?

80%26#39;s disco nights at Lucerna music bar on Saturdays are legendary. Full of students, so even you%26#39;re lot may feel old, but they are clean fun, without the prostututes, stag parties and other undersirables that many nightclubs have.
Kogo is easier to book for lunch than dinner. Big warning. Restaurant at Radost (which is the hottest club in town) serves nothing but vegetarian food, so if you%26#39;re not into eating a pile of lentils, green leaves and nuts, you will become very frustrated.

But Radoost does do an excellent brunch until 4pm on Saturdays %26amp; Sundays.

Hi, avoid the club on charles bridge , the one that is over three floors (I think it was called the Music Club)
We were there on a hen weekend and went on the first night. We are all quite street wise but I certainly was rather scared and didn%26#39;tmove from the first floor !! Absolutely packed, concrete stairs and not much evidence of a fire escape!!. Some of the girls went up to the other floors and said it was fine. I would advise you avoid it.
Cheers Gill
